Let’s tackle one of the biggest hurdles in building a business: the feeling of not having enough time.
I’ve been there, juggling parenting and building my online business—it’s no walk in the park. But trust me, it’s possible. Here’s what worked for me, and what can work for you too.
1. Start with Shifting Your Mindset: Believe that you can have stability now and work towards a better future. Be open to the idea that you can find the time, even if you’re not sure how. Being open to different perspectives opens doors for opportunities and ideas.
2. Let Go of Overwhelm: Instead of focusing on every single thing you need to do, break it down step by step. Write it all down, then identify what’s absolutely necessary to get started. Cross off anything that can wait.
3. Prioritize the One Thing: Identify the one task that will move the needle the most. What will make everything else easier? This is where you need to focus your energy.
4. Find Your Time: Assess how much time you truly have to devote to your business. Look at your screen time, your household chores, your PTO bank—find pockets of time where you can squeeze in work.
5. Schedule It: Once you’ve found your time, schedule it in your calendar and treat it as non-negotiable. Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day, consistency is key.
6. Let Go of Desperation: Release the urgency to make it all work right now. You’re supported, and success doesn’t have to come overnight. Take it one step at a time, knowing that progress is progress, no matter how small.
Building a business is about taking consistent action, one step at a time. You’ve got this!
